frequently asked questions
How much time does being involved in ADX take? We have weekly Monday night dinner and meeting at 5:15 pm, which usually last about 3 hours. We also have sisterhood events, exchanges with other greek houses, and at least one philanthropy event throughout the semester. The largest time commitment one makes is during pledgeship. Though being apart of ADX is a time commitment, ADX does not interfere with classes. Girls are involved in many different activities beyond ADX such as fellowships, jobs, churches, etc. What is the monetary commitment with being involved in ADX? Pledge dues are around $700 for the semester. Pledge dues are higher than active dues because of the start up fees involved. Once activated, dues become reduced. It is the hope that financial issues will not hinder your decision to become a member of ADX. Partial scholarships are available as well as payment plans. Girls often work and/or fundraise to help pay for dues. Please talk to our treasurer if you are interested in receiving additional information. Sorority? I don't think that's for me. Do not be turned off by the label "sorority." Although we experience the sisterhood one would expect from a sorority, we differentiate ourselves by having Christ as the center of our house. Our number one goal is to glorify Him in our relationships and actions. |
