meet the lambdas
It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No, it’s… the Lambdas!! Swooping into ADX during the Spring of 2011, the Lambdas brought to ADX a daring degree of diversity (pow!!), amazingly adorable poses in pictures (kazam!!), and the astonishing ability to never need sleep (or at least, not very often). Their perspicacious pledge mom, Mama Bennett (aka Jenna “everyday female felon” Anderson), constantly saved the day with her wondrous wit and loving leadership. In addition to having superhuman good looks, all of the Lambdas have the ability to evaluate and describe their pledge sisters’ incredible skillz. For your benefit, they’ve compiled the following list for you, with each Lambda describing another Lambda’s superpowers. Lauren "hawaii's most wanted...bummer dude": The ability to feel extreme kindness towards our neighborhood, homeless cats and feed them excessively Paulina "princess beignet but my friends call me ray": Something I like to call photographic edification... which basically means she can find the beauty in anything and make anything more beautiful. Kristin "sunshine von tweet": Spreading joy in others through song, dance, service, kind words, and hilarity Chelsea "squeak squeaker, squeak squeakin": Making the most delicious smelling food in the world. and making the best frosting ever (so good that even Sarah Barnes approved) Mollie "king roughbeard... it's complicated": The ability to only own extremely cute clothing and without a doubt be the most fashionable lambda whenever we go out in public. Patreeya "teacake": Her extraordinary ability to continuously pour into the lives of countless believers, as a living, breathing example of God's heart for His people. (Also time travel, but we try to keep that on the down low.) Seciah "magnifique": The super ability to bring joy to others by making them feel included and loved, and by making them laugh. She is also able to fix any dental ailments with one fine flip of her flowy locks. Otana "stella di mare": Healing the world of all its ailments through her delicious baked desserts! Stephanie "tag, you're it": Dazzling every single person she comes across with her bright smile (it literally sparkles) and her insane ability to turn any negative into a positive, which in turn, magically brings out only the brightness in others. |
