meet the sigmas |
Jenay was an excited freshman, so eager for college that she skipped her senior year in high school. Rebecca was starting her senior year at USC, excited to leave undergrad for dental school. An age gap of four years was just one of the many obstacles which would have prevented these two from meeting, but by the powerful forces of God, these 5’1’’ Chinese girls were brought together to become squishy and momo, the silly, singing, striving, smiling Sigma class. They may be small in size (and height), but throughout the semester, God used each of them to sharpen the other’s faith, encouraging and challenging them in ways which were unimaginable. Together, with their “Sigmom” (aka Julia “singin’ for brownie points” Virtue), they remind each other to constantly seek God through J.T. (Jesus time, not Justin Timberlake) and incredible fellowship with the sisterhood of ADX. The Sigmas joined us in Fall 2014. |

Sigmas, who is your favorite pledge sister? Rebecca “forward momotion” - squishy! Jenay “captain squishward” - squishy! I mean momo! Wait, but really… Rebecca “forward momotion” - Her faith and desire to seek Jesus are truly inspiring, and she is honestly so mature beyond her years. She is caring, sweet, and funny... And she's kind of hilarious to poke fun at too haha. Jenay “captain squishward” - She is so strong in her faith despite all the curveballs life throws at her. Each challenge she faces makes her love for God grow, which rubs off on me, encouraging me to have the same thirst for God. |
